The DeMolay Foundation of California promotes Excellence in Leadership among youth in Northern California by providing direct program support to the elected leaders of the Northern California DeMolay Association.  Through these programs we are building tomorrow’s leaders, today.

These young men and women have proven their ability to lead and organize an annual program of activities for the hundreds of members of Northern California DeMolay, as well as through concordant groups the International Order of Rainbow for Girls and Job’s Daughters.

Together these young people plan and execute ambitious yearly programs including sports tournaments, public speaking competitions, philanthropic projects, leadership trainings, public relations, and communications that prepare them for the rigors of the business community.  All of these programs are selected, promoted, and organized by young men and women in their teens, and are executed through detailed project-planning and budget processes that are rooted in standard business practices, and an earnest desire to promote personal development among their peers.

Recent philanthropic successes by our members include substantial support for the American Cancer Society, the Make-a-Wish Foundation, Shriners’ Hospital, Kiva.org., Camp Arroyo, and the Taylor Family Foundation.  We encourage all of our members to volunteer in their own communities and to partner with other groups to help those who are in need throughout Northern California.

The DeMolay Foundation of California also provides annual scholarships for the members of Northern California DeMolay who attend a four-year college or university, and for those who attend a community college or accredited vocational school.  Foundation members work to ensure these students’ success through one-on-one mentoring, and by providing a much-needed support system to keep them on track through graduation, and beyond.
